At approximately 6:30 p.m. on October 29, 2008, Frankie Javier Montes (H/M DOB: 8/16/88, 929 North Gilmore Avenue, #177) was shot by an unknown assailant in a parking lot 929 North Gilmore Avenue. The victim was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. This case remains under investigation. In an unrelated shooting incident, Lawrence A Tudisco (W/M, DOB: 10/8/61) was located at his residence of 5730 Sands Point Drive, Lakeland, Florida, with the assistance of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Tudisco was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center for treatment of gunshot wounds and admitted with non-life threatening injuries. This case also remains under investigation. Lakeland Police Attempt to Identify Theft Suspect
The Lakeland Police Department is seeking information regarding the identity of this
person believed to be responsible for the theft of merchandise from Sam's Club, 4600 N. RD 98, Lakeland, Florida, on August 29, 2008. The suspect, seen in these surveillance photographs, was seen exiting Sam's Club with stolen merchandise and getting into a vehicle believed to be an older type Buick or Pontiac, blue or light green in color. There is not a description on the driver of the vehicle.
