Lakeland Police Arrest Barricaded Escapee Update

Lakeland Police responded to 135 Kenilwood Lane after receiving a tip that John R. Gray, John_gray_4 DOB:  8/3/80, was staying there.  Gray had outstanding warrants as an absconder/fugitive from the Department of Corrections.

THe barricaded escapee in the area of Arteva and Gison Drive in Lakeland has been taken into custody.  The suspect, John Gray, surrendered to police.  There were no injuries as a result of this incident.  Police have now cleared the scene.

Lakeland Police are on scene with a barricaded escapee in the area of Arteva and Gibson Drive in Lakeland.  Media responding can stage at the Applebees located at 230 Arteva Drive.  PIO Jack Gillen is on the scene.

Lakeland Police Have Checkpoint and Saturation Patrol Planned December 21st, 2007

Members of the Lakeland Police Department's Traffic and DUI Enforcement Unit will be 07_47 conducting Saturation Patrols and Checkpoints in the city during the evening hours of December 21, 2007.

Lakeland Police Arrest Two at Armed Burglary in Progress

On December 12, 2007, at approximately 11:20 a.m., officers responded to 833 Sikes 07_46b_3 Blvd.,  after a citizen reported seeing a subject crawling through a residence window.  An officer responding to the scene then observed two subjects inside the residence with a firearm.  Both subjects were taken into custody.
