Lakeland Police Seek Help from Public in Shooting Investigation

On November 30, 2007, at 2:07 a.m., police responded to The Lakeland Regional Medical Center in regard to a patient who suffered a gunshot wound. Victim, Michael Hector, B/M, DOB:  8/27/77, stated he was shot in front of 634 West Thomas Street.  Read the complete media release.pdf

Chief Roger Boatner announced today that a team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. Loud Music Complaint Leads to Aggravated Assault With Firearm Arrest by Lakeland Police

AT approximately 12/32 a.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2007, Lakeland Police responded to Davis_thomas_2 Kings Manor Mobile Home Park, 1500 West Highland Street, Lot 122, to a disturbance in progress in which the suspect, Thomas R. Davis (DOB:  11/25/67) was armed with a revolver. 

The incident began when the Davis' returned home and confronted neighbors over loud music.

Lakeland Police Arrest Two for Drug Trafficking at Area Motel

Officers of the Lakeland Police Departmetn arrested Jason Fallin and Stephanie Casinger Metharrest today after they located a vehicle with a stolen tag parked at the Safar Inn, 1817 East Memorial Blvd., in Lakeland. 

Cassinger was arrested for Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Petty Theft.  Fallin was arrested for Armed Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Petty Theft. 

Officers believe the motorcycle Fallin was in possession of may also be stolen.  The motorcycle is a 2003 gray Suzuki.  If anyone has information regarding this motorcycle, please contact the Lakeland Police Department.

Lakeland Police Investigate Shooting

Police responded to the 900 block of West Memorial Blvd. at approximately 2:20 a.m. after receiving reports of persons shot.  Witnesses stated a small group of subjects were walking along the dirt path next to the overpass bridge when a vehicle travelling over the bridge shot into the group striking two of the subjects.  Read the rest of this media release.pdf

Lakeland Police Report Elderly Targeted in Banking Scam

Con artists are currently contacting elderly victims by telephone and convincing them to withdraw large sums of money from local banks.  The suspect calls the victim and claims to be a bank representative conducting an investigation of theft occurring from inside the bank by tellers employed by the bank. Lakeland Police Find Marijuana Grow House in City

Jose Y Hernandez was arrested for Trafficking in Cannabis over 25 Pounds, Cultivation of Hernandez_2 Cannabis, and Maintaining a Dwelling for Drug Operation after the Lakeland Police Department Neighborhood Liaison Officers executed a search warrant at 1631 Huntington Avenue on Tuesday, November 13, 2007.  Twenty-four marijuana plants valued at approximately $500,000 was seized, along with a vehicle, a trailor, and a boat.

Lakeland Police Arrest Two for Damaging Park Property

On Monday, November 12, 2007,  officers arrested two suspects for damaging Barnett Park Hollis_2 and Hollis Gardens Park in Lakeland, Florida.   A large metal City of Lakeland sign had been pulled out of the ground and Christmas decorations had been damaged.  A metal letter "S" was on the ground where the two suspects had been observed.  The letter had been removed from a building in one of the parks.  Estimated damage was $2,000.00.  The suspects also admitted to putting soap and shampoo in the fish pond in Hollis Gardens.  Both  were charged with Grand Theft, Felony Criminal Mischief, and Trespass.

Police are requesting assistance from the public in identifying this black female suspected ofSuspect_2  committing grand theft at Dillards Department Store, 3800 N Road 98 in Lakeland, Florida.   Thank you for your help.  This suspect has now been identified!
